June Message from Nancy

The fall, winter, and spring sessions of Adult Education have come to a close.  Thank you so much to Rabbi Adler who taught several interesting classes and facilitated a book review group.  All were well received, and we look forward to learning together next year.

Thanks also to Carol Shapiro who continued the Hebrew class she taught so effectively.  And lastly, many thanks to Suzi Adelson Wainer for teaching the Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah class.  The class will continue to meet through the summer.  Contact the Synagogue Office for the meeting dates.

Avot at the Agam

On Shabbat afternoon on July 5, we will begin our summer study of Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers) at Beach One.  This is a delightful way to conclude the long Shabbat afternoon.  The class begins at 5:30 and lasts about an hour.  We meet at Beach One for a beautiful view, late afternoon breeze, and stimulating thought. You won’t want to miss it.

Drench Lecture

We are planning the annual Drench lecture this summer.  Watch for more details in the next few weeks.
